Below are a few things to keep in mind to ensure your stay at Off the Trail is as streamlined,worry-free, and comfortable as possible for you and other guests.

 

Each rental property has a maximum number of tenants which cannot be exceeded. That number includes visitors and varies per rental property. This information is provided in the details of each rental property on the website or by calling the office at 765.762.6189. Off the Trail staff may check occupancy of rentals during your stay. 

 

Off the Trail charges a security deposit of $500-$1000 per rental. This will be placed as a hold on the renter’s credit card upon check-in. Any negligence by the renter or guests will result in charges being deducted from the security deposit. Property should be maintained and left in the same condition in which it was found. 

 

Missing or damaged household items (linens, appliances, utensils, furnishings, broken dishes, etc) will result in replacement cost plus labor fees. This includes stains on carpet and/or furniture, and moving or removing furniture.

 

Pets are NOT allowed in any of the rentals. Violating this rule may result in forfeiture of the security deposit. 

 

Smoking or vaping of any kind is NOT permitted in any of the rentals. Violating this rule will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit. Smoking outside the rental and away from open doors/windows is acceptable as long as all cigarette butts are disposed of properly. 

 

Consumption of alcohol is only permitted once riding at Badlands Off Road Park is finished for the day. All alcohol must stay at the rental property. It is not allowed on Badlands’ property. 

 

The firepit and grills must remain in place. Charcoal grill ashes should be disposed of in the appropriate labeled cans provided at each rental. No trash is to be placed in the firepit or ash bins. 

 

Quiet time at Off the Trail is from 11 pm - 7 am ET. Any disturbances resulting in complaints or rule violations is considered sufficient cause for immediate termination of the remainder of the reserved stay, as well as forfeiture of all monies paid, including the security deposit. 

 

Any issues or maintenance problems should be reported as soon as possible by calling or texting 765.299.3673, so the situation can be remedied. 

 

Each rental has a checkout time of 10 am ET. Before leaving, renter/tenants must follow the “close-out procedures” listed in the Rental Book located inside the rental property.

 

Vehicles, machines, and/or trailers are not to be parked in the grass at the rental property. They should be parked in the driveway, Off the Trail customer parking, or Off the Trail overflow parking. Washing vehicles/machines/trailers of any kind is not permitted on the rental property. There is a power washing station available directly across from Off the Trail’s office for your use. 

 

While staying in a rental at Off the Trail, tenants are eligible for 2 extra hours of riding time (never exceeding 9 pm) at Badlands Off Road Park with the purchase of the Ultimate Riding Admission. Riding at Badlands after hours is at your own risk. If the Ultimate Riding Admission is purchased, riders must exit the park no later than 2 hours past the time Badlands closes and text “out of park” to 765.299.3673 upon exit. Being late will result in a minimum of $100 fee.

 

Badlands Off Road Park allows special access to their property due to staying at Off the Trail. Any abuse of that special access will result in forfeiture of riding, lodging, and security deposit.
